Community Guidelines
Last updated: April 26, 2026
Tradsup is built on trust. Every swap depends on honest people treating each other fairly. These guidelines exist to keep the community safe, respectful, and enjoyable for everyone.
1. Be Honest
- Accurate listings: describe your items truthfully. Include any flaws, wear, or damage. Use your own photos — not stock images or photos from the internet.
- Fair condition ratings: rate the condition of your items honestly. “Like New” means like new, not “mostly good with a few scratches.”
- Genuine profiles: use your real identity. Don't impersonate other people, brands, or organizations.
2. Be Respectful
- Treat others well: communicate politely, even when you disagree. Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, threats, and bullying have zero tolerance on Tradsup.
- Respect boundaries: if someone declines your swap proposal, accept it gracefully. Do not pressure, spam, or repeatedly contact users who are not interested.
- Leave fair reviews: reviews should reflect your honest experience. Do not leave retaliatory reviews, and do not offer incentives in exchange for positive reviews.
3. Swap Fairly
- Follow through: if you accept a swap, complete it. Repeatedly failing to follow through on accepted swaps damages trust and may result in account restrictions.
- Ship on time: if a swap involves shipping, send your item promptly after both parties confirm. Communicate delays proactively.
- Meet safely: if you arrange a local meetup, choose a public, well-lit location. Bring a friend if possible. Trust your instincts — if something feels off, walk away.
4. Prohibited Items
The following items may not be listed on Tradsup:
- Illegal items (drugs, weapons, stolen goods).
- Counterfeit or replica items misrepresented as genuine.
- Hazardous materials (chemicals, explosives, flammables).
- Items that violate intellectual property rights.
- Adult content or sexually explicit material.
- Live animals.
- Human remains or body parts.
- Items subject to product recalls.
- Any item prohibited by your local laws.
5. Prohibited Behavior
- Scamming: misrepresenting items, failing to ship, or sending different items than agreed upon.
- Spam: sending unsolicited bulk messages, posting duplicate listings, or using the Platform for advertising.
- Manipulation: creating fake accounts, inflating view counts, gaming the search algorithm, or manipulating reviews.
- Circumvention: attempting to complete swaps outside the Platform to avoid coins, reviews, or safety features.
6. Reporting and Enforcement
If you encounter behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it using the report function on the platform (available on user profiles and in chat). All reports are reviewed by our team and treated confidentially.
Violations may result in:
- Warning and education for first-time or minor offenses.
- Temporary suspension of swapping privileges.
- Permanent account ban for serious or repeated violations.
- Referral to law enforcement where appropriate.
7. Your Safety
We care about your safety. Here are some tips:
- Never share personal financial information (bank details, passwords) with other users.
- Be cautious of deals that seem too good to be true.
- Check a member's reviews and swap history before accepting a proposal.
- Use the in-app chat for all swap discussions — it creates a record that can help resolve disputes.
- If you feel unsafe at any point, disengage and report the user.
8. Updates
These guidelines may be updated as the community evolves. We will notify users of significant changes. If you have suggestions for improving these guidelines, we'd love to hear from you at community@tradsup.com.
Thank you for being part of Tradsup.Together, we're building a swapping community based on trust, fairness, and respect.
